Temp Sender

Hey guys, working on my 5.3 swap and the adapter that I bought for the temp sender uses a 3/8 NPT and the factory sender looks to be 1/2 NPT.

Does anyone know of another temp sender with the same resistance so that it would read correctly on the gauge?

Just a quick question, couldn't you contact the manufacturer of the gauges and ask them this?? Just to make sure you get it from the right people is what I'm thinking.

Found this in another search (I've tried multiple terms and never got anywhere), the TS6 sending unit is what I've got. Posting it here for anyone else wondering the same thing.

Standard Motor Products #TS6 fits most GM temp gauge applications from the 60's on up to around 79 or 81. It has 1/2" threads and a "nail-head" type connector. It specs out at 368 Ohms @ 100F and 80 Ohms @ 220F.

Thanks for that link, the cutaway really helped me out a bunch. I ended up re-threading the sensor to 3/8NPT, worked like a champ!
