Opinion's on LIFT spindles??
 

My daily driver is a 2wd 94 c2500. I have a 3" body lift and 33's on it. The problem is that I need a little more clearance in the front and have already used a cushion spacer from Daystar. Has anyone tried lift spindles?? Are there any drawbacks?? Chassis tech which usually is a AIM part that no one is to fond of has a set for $300 which is about $200 cheaper than a fabtech piece. I do not use this truck off road at all, it was just something that I did cause it looked cool. Thanks

phanton can you not use 1'' or 2'' lift coil

I might be able to do that. I hate pulling springs. They suck!! I think you may have run a moded upper a arm to do this Im not sure. I can put in a spindle and nevertouch the spring. This would give me a op to do brakes and repack bearings on the 48K mile truck.

I :( upon using a lift coil on the front of your truck, Assuming you have the factory arms/ect, the geometry will change and it wont be very fun to drive (turn corners).
Go with the lift spindles!!! A friend of mine was running a '98 Ford F150 2wd with a complete Fabtech kit. It was very very very fun out in the desert :metal:
I've never heard of Chassis Tech, but I KNOW that Fabtech makes some quality parts. Is it worth the extra $200?! Maybe... maybe not...

Chassis tech makes some parts for Aim which is known for gouging people on shipping. I used a set of spindles one time from them and had no probs at all. This truck is a bit bigger and I do not want to have a problem. Like I said before it is all just for looks and is 2wd. Thanks

actually, when i bought from shAIM, my CT parts were very cheaply shipped. i bought a set if 2.5" drop spindles, and a shackle and hanger kit. the problems i ran into were the quality of the products. some of the bolt holes didnt line up with the holes in the frame, and the spindles required some serious modification to the backing plate. i called their customer service line, and they were no help at all. actually treated me like i was retarded or something. i know several people who have FabTech products on thier trucks, and they all say they're great.

I'm putting the fab tech 4'' long travel, which includes dual shock brackets, upper/lower control arms, ball joints, engine cage, 3''coils, billet a arm cross shafts, tie rod ends and all the little things on my 72" GMC, so we'll see what happens.

I have an 88 silverado2wd 3500 series with the fabtech 7.5inch lift kit. I would recommend the spindles from fabtech which will give you 4.5 inches of lift up front. They are the easiest way to lift without messing up any other suspension factors. They are moderately priced for what you get. Fabtech is by all means not meant for serious offroading, but it gets the job done if you want the look of a lifted truck.
