On my Dark Blue truck it was body color.

How detailed do you want to get? Here's my rough approach, from memory:

- Scrub like crazy with strong soap and water
- Clean with plastic prep spray
- Wipe with plastic adhesion wipes or sponge
- Shoot DP90LF Primer
- Shoot Color Coat PPG DCU
- Shoot Clear Coat PPG 2060 "Flexed'n'Flat"

Keep the coats light and the stuff well reduced to avoid filling in the grain.

If you don't want to buy guns and compressor and materials you can get a lot of these products in rattle can (like the SEM line mentioned below) but I don't know about the color coat.

Had my blasted and I not sure which media used but was a blasting business shop that did it. I havent painted it yet but will be using SEM 15103 to match my parchment interior. I got that SEM number form a board member that has done lots of consoles.
