Dirty dingos mounts

Currently working on a 78 short bed 2wheel drive with a ls1/4l60e equipped with dirty dingos engine sliding plates. My question is how far back did you guys go if your using these plates? My stock driveshaft fits well but I see from my yolk that I could go further back more, and on the plates I see little more room to play with so slide back. Thank you guys in advance... also added a picture of the passenger side plate

I would go as far back as you could. This will give you a better weight distribution front to rear. Just make sure you have no interference with your headers or your intake.

I have taken all three I have done as far back as possible. Makes more room up front too.

Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, little bit of a clearance issue on the shifter, But, I did drop mine about 10 inches in the front and 12 in the rear. So yeah, little bit of sheet metal surgery.

I am using stock F-body exhaust manifolds.
