Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Any way to get just one of the trailing arm brackets? I just need the passenger side.

Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Don't want to break up a set by selling just the one bracket. Will sell the pair for $15 plus shipping if you want to do that.

Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Let's do it! Let me know how you want to be paid.

Payment by money order works as mentioned in the first posting. I will get the brackets removed quick as I can, may be a couple days before have them off. Been having a LOT of rain going on. Will PM you with total cost to include shipping when brackets are removed and ready to ship. |
Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Ironhorse, I could use the small bar that runs between the frame in the middle of the last 2 frame x members, shown in pic 2 & 3. I think its to help support the spare tire.
Thanks Scott |
Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Perfect! I'm not in a big rush so feel free to take your time! Thanks!

Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
How much for the cross member that the trailing arms attached to, minus the trailing arms brackets that you've already sold? @ironhorse

We have gotten just over 51 inches of rain this year since first of Jan. Normal rainfall for the year is 30-32 inches all year long. Sure makes it a hard time to mow the two acres we have. |

Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Just checking in to see if the rain got a chance to let up at all. Any chance I could get the brackets by the middle or end of Sept? Prob won't get to that part until then. Let me know!
Thanks |

Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
No worries man! Just checking in! Like I said before take your time. I won't be getting to that part of the build until the end of Sept anyway. BTW I wish I had 2 acres... that might give me enough room for the shop I want!

Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Cbo, sorry but no longer have the frame or that cross member. I posted back the same day you asked and did not get a response from you after you asked about $$ for the part. Three weeks of listing the frame on the board brought no further interest from anyone and decided to cut the frame for scrap. Figured after not hearing from you in three weeks time you had no further interest in the cross member. :waah:
Ryan, I have the trailing arm brackets free from the frame and am removing the hardened factory hot rivets. Taking a bit of time by drilling and punching the rivets. Will have them done shortly tho. Need to get them boxed and get a shipping quote for you. |
Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Right on! Thanks for the update.

Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Ryan, trailing arm brackets are off and all factory hot rivets removed. PM sent with shipping / payment info.

Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Gary, just received the brackets! Thanks for taking the time to remove them carefully. They are perfect!

Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
By chance do you still have the trailing arms?
|
Re: '71 2WD Frame Cuts
Sorry I don't, the trailing arms were badly rusted and went to the scrap yard early on. The rest of the frame has now followed that. Nothing left.
