Lowered truck - brake lines too short

My buddy has lowered his 65 Chevy and now the front brake lines are too short. What is the normal way to correct this. On 4x4's we normally splice in a longer piece of metal line and/or make a braket to lower the mounting point.

What is the best way to correct this problem?

The steel line part or the rubber hose part is too short??

I believe it is the rubber hose that is too short. I asked if a hose from a 67-72 4x4 would work, but he said they are too long and he is not sure what rubber hose he might use that would be longer than the 65's hose.

If he adds to the steel line, he can make a drop bracket so he could use the original rubber hose length.

He just isn't sure what is the best solution.
