Re: refinishing seat bases(tracks)
I was wondering the same thing. After they are apart what is the best way to get some surface rust off of them without messing up the surface of the tracts?

Re: refinishing seat bases(tracks)
I used Ospho three coats in fifteen minutes. Rinsed and dried with drier/heater. Only thing I needed to do was then use a satin clear coat on them. But in the track area I used dry lube (spray). My tracks work better than I would have thought.

Re: refinishing seat bases(tracks)
Ya, you know just have to be careful with it as it is an acid. Get some cheap 1" or 2" brushes, googles and nitrile gloves. Don't get it on you without rinsing it off right away. At least that's how I deal with it. Results may vary.
