Brake lights
ok its taken me a hell of a long time to notice the obvious. theres a connector on the column not the one with the fins on it but the one to the right of it, the white wire is not connected this is the sole reason why my damn brake lights do not work. ive inspected the connector and it seems like its just a big connector( being that it just joins the wires together nothing else) there is a white wire on the otherside where it is connected im wondering if i can cut and splice these wires together?

Hmm... I wonder if maybe my reverse light cable is broken or something...

I would get a volt meter or test light and attach it to what you believe what is the correct light and hit the brakes to see if that is it for sure. :)

that wire is the brake lights ive already touched it back to the connector while ive had the brake switch on and they light up everytime

brake light wire
you can splice the corresponding wires together. if you have to replace the turn signal switch you will have to seprate them to do that. the plug is there to make it easier. if you are good at doing a cold joint solder you can solder the wire back to its terminal by removing the terminal. if you want to do that let me know and i will send a pic of how to get the terminal out. either way will work.
