AMP Steps

Has anyone done this to their Jimmy/Blazer? I tried contacting AMP Steps directly and they said bc it was not a plug-n-play vehicle, they couldn't even give any suggestions.

Anyone?

Re: AMP Steps

I have installed many AMP steps on the new body GM trucks. They have a module that controls them. The module is hooked up to both posts on the battery and to each side of the door open signal wire that grounds and folds down the step. Not to hard to make that work, not sure how you would mount the step brackets to the vehicle. The ones I've done use the body to frame bolt and the body and flange.

Good point about the body to frame/ body to flange.
I have seen them mounted to first gen Broncos and figured where there is a will, there is a way. Was hoping someone here has tried it.

Here is another thread about them. Someone would have to make a bracket to mount them to. Then obviously the wiring which I don’t see there being an issue. Just did some on my brothers f-250 and it plugs into the OBD2 to get the door open signal. It was pretty slick.
