Windshield rubber

I installed the windshield into the rubber and then installed the trim with no problems. I was installing the rope around the gasket and noticed that the top of the windshield gasket is tight getting the 1/4” rope in while the bottom seal area is wide and you need tape to hold rope in place otherwise it just falls out. It also seems that that the rope is quite a bit deeper in the seal on the top than the bottom. Just wondering if this is normal. The seal is a lmc seal. Thanks

I don't remember mine being that much difference between top and bottom. I didn't use LMC gasket though.:chevy:
