'72 GMC Manual Trans Mounts

Hi,

I've just spent about an hour googling and going through old threads. Can't find a picture or diagram. Hoping someone can post.

I am re-installing my OEM 4 speed SM465 on a factory Manual transmission crossmember.

Does anyone have pictures/diagrams of how the mounts looked from the factory when installed?

The uninstalled mounts look like this:

https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/ani-2107

https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/ani-2108

I can find a thousand threads with aftermarket (different) mounts or people swapping in other transmissions...not seeing any pictures in any SM465 threads that show the mounts *installed*.

Thanks.

This is the best I can do for now. The smaller rectangular biscuit goes underneath. Does the truck still have the original engine in it?

Generally if someone has put an automatic trans in place of the manual they will remove this cross member.....

It is a replacement 350 but it had a 350 in it originally.

I would love a picture from underneath and one of the mount without the bellhousing there if anyone has one.

I assume the "biscuit goes underneath and you bolt right through into the bellhousing?

It is pretty straight forward. You will see how the small rectangular biscuit fits when you put it up in the bottom. Yes, the bolt goes through the biscuit, through the cross member, through the upper mount and into the bell housing. There is a metal sleeve that fits into the biscuit and slides up into the upper mount. It is about 9/16" in diameter and 1 3/4 - 2" long.

Okay thanks. When I get it together I may try and grab pictures and post it so it's available for others.
