Installing Pitman Arm And Center Link

How Do I Go About Istalling The Pitmam arm So It Is Centered. I counted The Turns and Put in On Facing Straight Back But When I Went To Install The Center Link Iot Made It Face The Passenger Side.

I think if you check your Idler arm. It can go on two different ways. I think I had that same problem when I put mine back in. If you had your idler arm off?

Did this center Link come off this vehicle? If so. Could that be backwards also? And there is a tapered side. If you do a search on The form on center link you should come up with some pictures. Also if you could take some pictures and post them. That will help also. There are a lot of people on here they’ve been through the same thing. I’m sure someone can figure it out.

And the truth comes out. But since the box and idler are bolted to the frame, the center link should be the same as the frame model and year.

Make sure center link mounts so nuts face forward on tie rod ends (center link center closest to cross member). However I do not know that if you use the 73 and later cross member, will the center link hit the frame when installed properly...

You have the idler arm in the wrong hole. The idler arm and pitman arm bolt to the outer holes. The tie rods bolt to the inner holes.
