Is this really the original hood?
1 Attachment(s)
Saw this 1984 C20 in an ad, lister says it's "original two-tone paint" but I don't remember ever seeing a hood that didn't match the top of the side panels… but it does also seem to match the top/back of cab and the lower panel color… was there ever a two-tone option like this?
I only knew this options shown in this post: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...87&postcount=6 I was sure at first this was a replacement hood, but the more I looked the less sure I was, so I thought I'd check with the pros… Ad with more pictures is here: https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/...624535618.html |

Re: Is this really the original hood?
Thanks Bandit130!
Here's one example of a special edition from '78 with a non-matching hood, but that's the only thing like this I've found so far… https://autowise.com/wp-content/uplo...beau-james.jpg |

Re: Is this really the original hood?
Keith Seymore probably know the answer to this. Maybe he'll chime in.

Re: Is this really the original hood?
Not from the factory that way.
The hood and cowl panel are the primary body color in all of the two tones in your attachment. K |
Re: Is this really the original hood?
Could it originally have had the sport stripes that were removed? It seems like I've seen those with a secondary color on the hood.

Re: Is this really the original hood?
When you open the hood look @ the reinforcement on the aftermarket hoods you see that the reinforcement is much thinner then factory (and lighter)
