External trans cooler

Question for the guys that have a trans cooler in front of radiator, how did you route/run the lines thru the core support? My 76 does not have any existing holes that would work.

If you don't have a/c,there may be some holes already there in the boxed area next to the radiator on the pass side.
That's where I ran mine on my 82,C-30.
Or,possibly in the frame rail underneath the front of the radiator support, then up to the cooler.

This is how mine is done. My dually had a factory oil cooler plumbed this way so when I rebuilt the motor, I swapped in a new unit & also added another/duplicate set-up for the transmission.

Here is how I did my '87.

Through the external cooler first, then through the radiator. Hot always fed into bottom with return at top.

Like SCOTI said, I ran mine under the core support and up to the cooler.
