Load C ride quality
 

I will be needing tires soon. If i reuse my rally rims, i'll either go with 31x10.5 or 265/75r15. Both around the same height. The 31x10.5 are Load C and discount tires says that will give me a ruff ride and I should go with the metric 265 with a softer sidewall for the street. The metric ones cost $10 more a tire. Discount right or just trying to up sell to a more expensive tire?

Hey Bill, I ended up putting 31's on my 68 mainly to fill up the wheel well. I went with the Mastercraft Courser A/T with a C load and I am very happy with them, they ride very nice and they are quite on the highway. Hope this helps.

Its a truck I would use the load range c tires, I doubt you would notice the difference in ride.

If your tires are bad right now, all you're going to notice is how nice it is to have good tires. For most of us, that's as close as we come to getting a 'new' truck :lol:

I've always been stuck with E range tires, and never once have I been bouncing around in a 20-30 year old 4x4 and thought "I wish the tires didn't ride so harsh" lol. IMO if you use it in the rough, get as much sidewall meat as you can afford/tolerate.

My IFS truck has BFG KM2s (I got an oddball size, don't do that, $$$) and I can't believe how quiet they are on the road. I've never had an offroad tire that was even close.
