Replacing 20 gallon saddles with 16 gallon saddles
Currently my 1986 C30 has dual 20 gallon saddle tanks. I have found debris and crude in the lines so I will be completely replacing the fuel system in the truck. I have ordered new lines and came across a great deal for 2 brand new 16 gallon saddle tanks.
I know the 16 gallon tanks are shorter and imagine the filler hose will be longer, but is there any other differences I should be aware of? Thanks. |
Re: Replacing 20 gallon saddles with 16 gallon saddles
need longer filler hoses or the factory metal filler hose extensions i have these i just removed from a 16 to 20 swap on a 2 tank truck .
frame holes for the bracket might not be there so you might have to drill them for 1 of the hangers . otherwise bolt them up and go . |

Thank you GonicGM. I am waiting for my fuel lines before jumping in so I will keep that in mind.
