Hood ornament tech
 

What in the hell is the application difference between these hood ornaments?
They are 1981 only 5.7 diesel. Part numbers under are the same as just the run of the mill hood ornament.
I cant find any documents on them specifically.
Secondly, the yellow one has a busted stud so I need to swap it to the other one. How can I do this without hurting myself? lol

Or suggestions for repair on the yellow one.

Yellow is for Chevrolet and Red is for GMC. Push spring a little past hook part of hood ornament and tape ends together. The spring should slide off and to put back together do the opposite. Push spring down as far as you can and hook with one side of it. Cut the tape and slowly twist spring till it is at the top of spring
