ACDelco .... Professional Starter ...

For the ACDelco mini starters like that, what is the correct thing to do regarding bolting it to the engine? I had a mini starter once for a couple of months, and had the wrong bolts, didn't know what bolts to get, couldn't not figure out the shimming, and ended up chewing up my flex plate, replaced the flex plate and put the original big starter back in with its original bolts. I understand there are supposed to be special bolts to use with an unthreaded portion that goes into the block. So, I'm interested in knowing the exact right thing to do, for example, part numbers on bolts, do we use washers or lock washers, thread locker, or what all is needed?

Get a vette hi-torque 1969-1970 lt-1 reman, trade your old one in for core. Stay away from them gear reduction / china junk

Heh, I tend to agree w/ post 11 and would suggest that people learn the tiniest bit of electrical theory, then fix the messed up wiring in the vehicle.
