Welding and AD Dash...
I had to replace the dash in my 47 because of a "farmer" dash the PO had installed (I needed to go back to stock). Now, I want to fill in the radio hole, and the knob holes. IF I have a radio, it will go below the dash, or not at all. Either way, the holes need filled. What is the easiest - best - way to go about filling those holes? Thanks!

Re: Welding and AD Dash...
The best fix you can do is cut some patch panels and weld them in the opening...you'll need a mig welder and go slow to help prevent warping...probably need a little hammer and dolley work ..then epoxy primer and some filler to slick it out...some more primer and your done

The best and easiest way is the way the factory did it - with a radio delete panel:

Re: Welding and AD Dash...
That would be the correct way with a stock dash.

Re: Welding and AD Dash...
that delete panel is cute....but worthless if your dash has been hacked out like most ive seen are....but if its the factory opening it would be ok

Weld away then. Complete info and maybe a clear photo always gets a more accurate answer the first time around.
