Fuel Pump Change - return bypass?
Hi guys. So I recently had my Qjet rebuilt and replaced the old gas tank (rust and crud) and sending unit. Still getting rust in the fuel filter, so I ordered gas lines (tank to carb) the other day. I am figuring I may as well replace the fuel pump while I am at it.
Here is my question, should I simply get the 2 port Fuel Pump and cap off the return line at the tank? or purchase the 3 port pump and use carb cleaner and compressed air to blow that return line out? Any experience out there in either direction? Thanks in advance, as always. |
Re: Fuel Pump Change - return bypass?
Nvmd found answer upon further review. Some carbs can be pressure sensitive, so not knowing if mine is one... just gonna replace with a 3 port fuel pump and clean the line.
