Is this the right nut for 67-72 door panel screw's. The ones in the lower part of the door for the metal panel.

That is the correct thread but the retaining clips look like they stick out farther. Don't know if that will interfere with the panel fitting up against the door or not.

IIRC, those are correct. My door panels are the metal style and I have replaced a few of these over the years

The nuts on my doors are a different kind, they are square nuts with tabs and appear to be permanently attached in some way into the square holes in the door, I don't know if pressed or welded. I had one that was rusted and broke loose, so I replace it with one of those cage nuts you show above, that I got at Ace Hardware. It works fine.

Thanks that's what I'm hoping for as well. I had 2 of them break while getting the passenger side door panel off.:chevy:
