I don’t remember this kind of cover over the 4X4 lever. You think the transfer case has been changed out?

Looks like an NP208 from a square body was swapped in. It’s common for the original Rockwell cases to be swapped out in the 67-69 trucks.

lots of mix - n - match there for sure .

I'd call it swapped but not cobbled.
