1966 C10 Ls install stuff

Hi , so been searching around on here trying to educate myself about this install,
lots of different mounts , headers , etc , and some conflicting info ?
so which mounts work best for this swap ? which Headers work best ?
I will be using a 2006 6L with the 6 speed tremec behind it ,
Just trying to make it a snap first time ,so to speak ,
Thanks ,

Just so happens the LS Swap page can help you - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...play.php?f=206
I'll move the post over there sometime today maybe.

No worries, we're here to help. Hopefully you'll get more help in this LS area anyway.

Camaro SS manifolds, stock V8 perches with factory engine mounts and adapter plates from LSX Innovations (or go with the CPP perches and mounts for a little more money), and a custom trans crossmember.

Speed Engineering makes a set of shorty headers that work great too.

I fabricate this to help with your hydraulic clutch conversion.

I supply you with the correct Wilwood clutch master cylinder for your application. I offer both the High Volume and GS series of Wilwood masters.

ok , how much more does that add to the kit ? so the stock one for the hydraulic clutch will not work with this kit ?

Re: 1966 C10 Ls install stuff

The price listed in post #1 of the for sale thread includes a new Wilwood high volume clutch master. The GS series is an additional $14.00. No you can not use any OEM clutch master cylinder with my conversion kit. There are simply too many different mounting styles for every different application of OEM clutch master. Shipping to Canada will be more than the $21.10 listed. It will be $70.00.

Hi ok , but it works with the stock power brake booster ?

Re: 1966 C10 Ls install stuff

No it will not work with an original '66 brake booster. You will have to purchase one of the boosters from the list of many, many, many compatible boosters that comes with every one of my booster brackets.

The stock 6.0 oil pan hangs down below the crossmember so you will probably want to go with a muscle car pan, ls1 pan or a CTSV pan.
