Cart for Transporting Cab for Rust Repair

Hello,
I'm about to embark on a complete restoration of a '72 K-10 LB and I'm wondering if there might be someone out there in Northern California who has some sort of a cart they used during the restoration of their 67-72 to hold/transport the cab. Perhaps you built one and its just sitting around in your way. If you have one and I could purchase it or even lease if think you might need it again.

That brings me to another question. Does anyone here know someone close to Sacramento that could blast my cab, then install rockers and other minor rust repair at a fair price? I'm looking for someone that has experience with these trucks.
Thanks In Advance,
Rick

Could not tell which member, but do a search, someone has drawn up plans for others to use.

Sharing is nice!

For the transport I just run lag bolts though the cab mounts into a 4x4 then get some casters from harbor freight to roll it around on. If you wanted it higher I’m sure you could build a frame to prop it up some too.

That's a GREAT idea.

For what it's worth I have plans for a well overbuilt wooden cart in my build thread. Only thing I think I'd do differently is a wider wheel base.

I had mine on a pallet, bolted some big casters on it and it worked out pretty well.

Bolted through the body mount holes. I did all my sheet metal work bolted to the frame and then removed it for body work. This keeps the body square,
