I was given a receiver hitch that came off of a 67-72 Chevy pickup, and want to know if I can use it on my 84 GMC Sierra? I haven't had a chance to do any frame rail measurements.

I don't think it will work.. I believe the frames are different widths, and you'll likely not have the right mounting hole locations.

Same widths. Different probable bolt hole locations. I used the 'hidden hitch' I purchased from ECE for my 68 on my 74 swb when it took over tug-boat duties. I had to tweak the bracket slightly so it cleared the rear shackle bracket but 4 of the 6bolts aligned beyond that.

Bought a 2nd ECE 'hidden' unit from ECE & it's under my dually now.
