72 burby fuel tank sending unit with return line?
My 1972 Highlander Suburban has a fuel tank sending unit with a supply and return line, yet my LMC stock replacement arrived with only one supply line.
Do they make a single line sending unit or do I replace the fuel pump and disregard any return lines? |

If the correct unit isn't available I would modify your new one. I soldered a return line into the sender on my Burban. See photos in the link.

Re: 72 burby fuel tank sending unit with return line?
I'm trying to install my LMC replacement tank and the filler neck is too short? It will kink the rubber filler line as it comes out of the tank. Do you have to transfer the old filler neck to the new tank or do I have the wrong tank...

This thread is probably the answer to your question. If not do a search as this is a known issue and several fixes are out there.

When I replaced the fuel tank on my Suburban I cut off the filler neck and welded it to the new tank.
