Quality H-Light switch for ‘63 C10 ?

The new aftermarket switch I installed about 10 yrs ago has failed.
The re-pop vendors have them for about $25 and NAPA has one, from the (once) respected name Echlin for $70
Can anyone justify the higher price?

I run a Ron Francis headlight switch in my builds. I think you can get them from Summit Racing for around $45.

I recently had to purchase a new headlight switch for my 63. I went with a Standard Motor Products one and ordered it from Amazon because the same part was about $40 more at the local parts store. It has worked great for the past 2 months that I've had it in. My old switch was hard to make it stop on the parking light circuit because the detents were not that great, but the new switch is real easy to stop in all 3 positions

I believe they do. Give them a call.

Thanks guys, I went on-line Summit and found nothing from Ron Francis or the “make/model” OEM search that convinced me.
I have a Standard on the way from RockAuto.

I purchased a NEW Delco headlight switch only to find out it was imported junk. Later I found a NOS Delco one on eBay which was stamped made in USA which I installed.

Morning all,
Just received my headlight switch for my 65 C10. It's a Suntex brand ( $14.95). It felt and looked cheaply made, and was faulty right out of the box. I went to my local NAPA store and got an Echlin ECH HL6554 switch ($22.99). The quality looked and felt much better and works great. Time will tell if it's a good one or not. Both these switches were made in Taiwan. I do plan on doing the headlight relay mod in the future.

What headlight mod is that?

I use 2 relays one for low beam and one for high. When doing this the only job of the headlight and dimmer switches is to supple a small amount of current to energize the relay. The energized relay sends full voltage from the battery straight to the headlamp. It's not unusual to have a voltage loss through the switches, multiple connectors and lots of wiring especially with older wiring.

Oh that one. I have installed relays for my headlights as well. Your right, it's a great idea.

I wouldn't expect better quality than NAPA and the relay bits are a nonsequiter...
