Lights problem

Here is the problem. I start the truck and turn on the lights and everything works, headlights, panels, brakes, and tail lights. Sometimes after a few minutes the dash panel, brake, tail, and sidemarking lights go out. The headlights, turn signals, and flashes still work. If I stop and turn off the truck for a few minutes, everything works again. Then after a minutes the lights go out again.

Any ideas?

I would start by checking the bulkhead connectors. If they are ok, I would check the headlight switch and the orange feed wire from the fuse block.

Sounds like something is overheating. The headlight switch on my old Escort GT used to overheat when the fog lights where turned on. All the lights that were wired through the head light switch would turn off until the connector would cool down. Ford was smart enough to put in a switch that couldn't handle the load when the fog lights were on. On top of that, they put the fog light switch flat on the center console. It would inavertently get turned on all the time.
