will these wheels fit??
Need some help. I have a guy selling some 20" wheels. Width of the wheel
is 10" and the backspacing is 6". He's not sure about offset, since he has the wheels on his truck and can not measure them. My truck has a 2/4 inch drop. Will these wheels fit nice under my truck? Forgot to add that he has them installed in a new suburban.... Thx, |
back spacing and offset are two different ways of saying the same thing. On a 10" wide rim with 6" of backspacing the offset is 1" out which is a positive offset(1"). Negative offset is when the wheels stick out and the same rim above with 1" of negative offset would have 4" of backspacing.
Will they fit? I will have to allow someone else to answer. |
the easy way to tell is take a jack and some jackstands remove them from the sub and install them on your truck and see how they look , should take about 30minutes

seems that's about the best way to go
Just wanted to make sure if they'd fit before I made the long trip....
Thx for helping.... |
Lots of threads on this subject. Try the search feature. As far as I know, the max back space is 4-1/2".

My Neighbor has a set burb wheels and I tried them on my stepside and they would not fit, the tire hit the bed before the studs were showing. I think 4.5" is the max offset. His were 6"

Guess I'll pass on the wheels....
