Door gaps.

I've been trying to get the gaps set correct on the door before I weld in the new rocker. How in spec are you door gaps? My doors upper is rubbing inside on the B pillar. I set in new door pins. Do your doors have consistent gaps.

Bottom .25in
Sides and top .19in

Re: Door gaps.

Make sure your hinges brackets are not wore out, if the door pins where wore out really bad for a long time the bracket of the hinges may be started wear to much. A new striker bolt and adjusting it may need add shimmed or take out some time and bushing for the striker bolt. The hinges need to be adjust to the to front a little gap at front may need shimmed give some room. Do one adjustment at a time move to the next then you will know what it doing. Having a adjusting box end ratcheting wrench is + ** Now after welding your rocker may have to adjust the door bottom as in shims. If your rocker is open from front to back you may have a little play in the bottom side of the B pillar.
Try to get as close as you can after tack welding check door at the B pillar at the bottom may spreading a little because of cut out or rust out. Take your time adjust little bye little think about it as you do it.
