Front Sway Bar Hitting Tie Rod Ends and Adjusters
So I swapped my manual steering box to a power steering box this morning and now I notice that my tie rod ends and adjusters are hitting the sway bar if I go past about 1/3 turn. CPP 1-1/8" sway bar. Don't know if it did it before with the manual box. Everything looks right, but obviously not.

Is that at ride height? You can sorten the sway bar end links, but at ride height it may not be an issue.
Probably why you never noticed it before. |
Re: Front Sway Bar Hitting Tie Rod Ends and Adjusters
You need to have the suspension under full load which is not going to happen without a motor in there. You might be able to stack weights to mimic a motor but I personally would wait until you have it under full load (motor, sheet metal etc), then asses. It will most likely be fine. Also, don't forget to install the the a-arm upper/lower bumpstops.

That makes sense, thanks... I guess adding 800-900 pounds to the front may change things.

Hmm. I would think it needs to clear through the whole range of movement. What if you go over a hump and the front suspension stretches all the way up?
I put the CPP 7423 1 1/4" on mine. Did you use the right frame brackets? They come with two optionals. |

Tall ones for stock height. Short ones for drop spindles.
