Gas tank filler tube

4 Attachment(s)
I put a Gas tank in my truck bed. Need to fill the hole. Cut the filler tube from the old gas tank. With a new rubber for the hole, a hose clamp and the tube, The rubber went on first then slipping the tube in putting the clamp on from the back and tightening it. Well another DIY done

Seems pretty simple and cheap to do. Good idea.

Seems you have found the Only good use for an old fuel tank!

Might be able to cut it off with a large pipe cutter or a muffler cutter.

The tube came off my truck when I put a new tank in the bed. No gas was in the tank when I cut the tube I air out the tank about three weeks. Cut it with a saws all. Going to blank off the tube at the top from the inside welded

I used a sawzall and cut it right off. Mine was dry when I did this. If you're worried about fumes, drain it, and fill with water. Cut. Drain again.
