Brake line problem
 

Adding power brakes to my 72 C10. Got the booster and the master mounted on the fire wall and found out that the smaller of the two lines from the chassis is two short. Solution, Find a line that came off a truck with power brakes or buy a line and bend and fit . I'm talking connection to the proportioning valve under the master cylinder. Am I on the right tract ?

You will find the short lines difficult to bend. You have to put the flairs and nuts on it first or you have no room to add the double flairs. I would check with inline tube maybe they can provide them.

Yes, you were correct I mentioned the wrong line.
I agree bending one is the cheapest and best option. Especially if you already have the tools. Getting a good double flair isn't all that easy.
The higher end hydraulic make it easier though. If you are lucky you will be able to purchase lines the right length even if you have to combine them using a coupler.

i think he means the longer lines coming from the truck side, not the really short ones going to the master from the prop valve. .if you looking for just 1 line I would buy one and bend it to fit. if it will still be short....get the longest one u can get pre made and cut it to fit...then flare the other end with the right fitting.

If you straighten out some of the bends in the original line, it might reach. It did for me when I added power brakes to my '68. The line routing is different in '72, so that might be a problem

^^^^ thats what i used when i re did my brake lines recently. can bend that stuff by hand
