I recently "revitalized my mechanisms... i need to replace mine as well. how would you go about replacing them once you have suitable replacements?

Got new rollers from AMD
ground the rivet head off
took the roller to be removed stuck it over a large socket.
used a punch and removed.
Put the new roller in place. Use a sharp chisel and cut and X on the peg
Put the mechanism roller in one side of the vice. took a pointy fender bolt in the other side. Put the bolt point in one part of the X off centered Tightened the vice. Move it to the other side of the X.
This flared both sides then I banged it flat .
took about 10 minutes to do one after I figured it out

Haven’t done my square but just did my 68 so I’m not sure if they are the same . Ground the peen’d part of the rivet removed the roller . Used a socket to back up the new rivet and roller , used a punch and peening hammer to flatten the peen .

Nice work. The square body one's don't have a dimple on the back. They are flat so you have to cut them so you can roll them over

So they are cross peened.
