68 C10 throttle rod to cable

I thought there was a faq or writeup on how to convert from a throttle rod to cable but I can't find it. Can someone post it up?

Thanks!

EDIT: I think that second link above is what you're after.

Those are some old links. Unfortunately the LFD guy stopped doing business about 15 years ago. And Rockcrawlin's last post was in 2018.

Putter's old post of 08/26/2005 has the best method. About what I did.
From a '72 Chevy truck, I pulled the Gas Pedal and the plastic pivot triangular piece.
I bought an aftermarket cable assembly from my local Hot Rod Shop. [I'm looking for pix, but my new laptop doesn't have the shots I wanted.]
Works great.

Re: 68 C10 throttle rod to cable

i did my 69 suburban the difficult way, i had a junk 72 cab and i cut out the section of the firewall where the pedal and cable were attached, drew a line around the 72 section onto the 69 firewall and cut it out, trimmed until the 72 piece fit perfectly and welded it back together. it was actually easier than it sounds since the front clip was off and the engine was out.

Heres a link to the two that I read over before doing mine. If you get any questions let me know and I will try to help and/or I could post pics of my pedal mount and carb linkage bracket.
