Brake Booster Question
Morning gang,
Now that I have been able to finally start moving my truck around, I am finding that I would like a little more stopping power. My K20 is all stock with a drum/drum setup and manual brakes. Everything is brand new including the master cylinder. Can I just add a brake booster to my setup, or do I have to replace the master cylinder as well? Thanks, Clay |

You’ll have to carefully stretch your brake lines a little bit but there’s plenty of to wok with (or you can replace it, your choice) |

Your manual brake MC should have a deep hole in the back of the piston. CPP sells their MC with a plug so that their MC can be used with a booster or without.
Ebay sells the plug but calls it a bullet. You still have to adjust the pin on the front of the booster for correct length. https://www.ebay.com/itm/285163430346 Link doesn't seem to work. Here is a screen capture. |

Thanks fellas! I actually found a guy here on the forums that builds a complete booster kit for our trucks that are all adjusted and ready to bolt on. I gave him a call and he is getting one built up for me.
