LS series Knock Sensors relocation pieces
This is an FYI post not a for sale or commission item....
I have found the following items that anyone with an LS series 3 engine that has knock sensor issues. These will allow the relocation of the knock sensors away from under the intake manifold and make servicing the sensors so much easier. The items are a set of billet brackets that bolt to the pan rails of the LS engine plus a new wiring loom that will replace reach down each side of the engine to the bracket locations. The wiring loom connector for the knock sensors in drivers side rear of manifold...simple single plug GM style. The loom is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084KP8VYB...fed_asin_title The bracket kit is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D3LPLNKG...fed_asin_title I am going to fit these onto my daily driver...after 260,000 miles the rear knock sensor has died...and me getting old now I am always looking to make things easier.... Just thought I would share. Bill :mm::mm::mm::mm: |
Re: LS series Knock Sensors relocation pieces
Interesting. I've always wondered what people were using to move the knock sensors on a gen 3. I know that most drill and tap the block when using a gen 4 block with gen 3 crank and wiring harness. Let us know how well they work.

Re: LS series Knock Sensors relocation pieces
They were a bit of a fiddle to install...like maybe 15 mins a side.
Standard sensors go into the blocks and wire loom plugs directly into the factory fitting. Codes went away immediately. :mm::mm::mm::mm::mm: |
Re: LS series Knock Sensors relocation pieces
those would take the sting out of having a new sensor under the intake start throwing codes after 2 weeks
