Switching serpentine to old school brackets

Hi,
The only accessories I have are a water pump and alternator. I have a serpentine bracket set but it just a bunch of blank pullies, turning only the water pump and alternator. I'd like to switch to standard brackets but having trouble finding what I need. I currently have a long water pump and a small case alternator. I think I'll have to change my water pump because its a counter-clockwise pump and has no posts for bolting accessories.

Does anyone know what bracket I could use for the alternator, and with a new long water pump? Or do I need to change to a short water pump? The brackets I find online don't always specify if they are for the smaller or larger alternators or what pump they are compatible with.

I also realize I will need different pullies.

Thanks for any ideas!

I'd first ask if your heads have threaded bosses/holes for accessories. If so, you have later heads.

The 1973+ small blocks used the long water pump. The alternator is also mounted on the passenger side. I believe the alternator bracket for the 73-1987 is the same for the small block chevy.

I thought the standard rotation of the pulleys was clockwise, but believe it changed to counter clockwise later on. Not sure on any of the dates for the change overs.

Just about any Chevy car or truck with a small block from 73-86 should work. Alt will be on the pass side though. Or if you want to stay within the year correct set-up, then you'll be back onto the short water pump and limited to the earlier years ending in 72 with the alt on the drivers side

Alan Grove makes a nice alternator bracket. Bolts on water pump and hangs low and out of the way.
