BagRiders Pro Manifold/Controller Review
Original air ride install was an EZ Air Ride 4 corner, paddle valve setup. Very functional but was looking for a more intuitive control system. Bagriders shipped very quick. I had the setup at my door in about 4 days.
BagRiders Pro setup comes with the manifold, 2 wiring harnesses, most fittings you'll need, handheld controller with phone app and a variety of extra pieces and parts to get you through the install. If you are installing from static and using the water trap, you will want a couple extra PTC fittings to connect everything. If you're upgrading from the EZ Air Ride, you can reuse the straight PTC from the Tee fitting. I also added the water trap and manifold mount. The wiring harness is very nice. Its clean, labeled, loomed and comes with some shrink wrap that's labeled as well. I shortened some of the wiring since my battery is in the bed. The harness has PLENTY of cable. Wiring everything up is straightforward. The diagram they include is very clear and has additional wiring options for a 2nd compressor included in the layout. The controller cable is quite long and connects from the manifold harness and you can run it to anywhere in the cab. My old system had a manual switch to cutoff the compressor in case of an issue. This setup has autostart on ignition and you can set the PSI settings for the compressor to run and shutoff. The system won't cycle the compressor or the controller unless the ignition is keyed on or in ACC. There are a ton of servings that are adjustable. - Air out on shutoff - Air up on cranking - 3 height adjustable presets plus an Air Out preset - 4 corner exact PSI visualized in the controller - locked controller so no accidental air release And there are more settings in the controller as well as a tank pressure display and voltage display. All in all, I was hesitant to order due to lack of reviews, compared to the Airlift setups. I know time will tell and hopefully won't need customer service for a bit, lol. But initial impressions are very good. |

3 Attachment(s)
Added some photos. The battery box, from Amazon, is trash. Doesn't for the battery so looking for a different one that works as well.

Re: BagRiders Pro Manifold/Controller Review
Small update
Today attempted to set the 3 presets and having issues. If the truck gets set to 40psi in the front and 0 PSI in the rear, once saved and then utilized, the vehicle stops airing out and the manifold sputters air as they rapidly open and close. Then failing the preset. It will also fail an air up preset. Each function works correctly via the controller, so I've emailed them to see what's up. The whole point is the preset feature so hopefully it's an easy fix. |

Hopefully it's something simple.

Re: BagRiders Pro Manifold/Controller Review
I've been emailing videos all afternoon. They have great CS, very willing to help, but told me the presets work best between 25 and 125psi. That's worthless, imo. Nothing I do changes the fact it won't hit a preset of any psi as low as 40 front or rear. Very disappointing for a system that touts customization as one of the selling points. I hope they can figure it out because without the presets it's just a real expensive set of paddle switches, lol.
It works perfectly without the presets, BTW. Manual adjustment via the app or controller work great. |
Re: BagRiders Pro Manifold/Controller Review
Still sorting out the preset issues. They swapped out my manifold and the problem persists. Now moving into some other options.
Still very involved customer service but no luck resolving the preset issues. Once a fix is in I'll post that as well so it may save some headache for another user in the future. |
Re: BagRiders Pro Manifold/Controller Review
What a PITA.... Glad they're still being positive & responsive to your issues. Hopefully that continues until there's a resolution.

Re: BagRiders Pro Manifold/Controller Review
Ultimately no solutions.
Back and forth, they finally said that they believe my 8" bags in the rear with no extra weight besides the bed, and 1/4" lines are the culprit for the preset issues. Just swap them to 3/8 and 6" bags.....no thanks. Not doing work 2 times for something g that is advertised as functional and then depends on what you're running. Total garbage if you ask me. So I'd steer clear unless you can talk with them and verify your setup will work. I don't see how these things would matter but whatever. DONT BUY IT. |
