65 Big Block Swap Question

Hey guys,

I know the 68-71 big block brackets are good to use for the swap. As far as the motor mounts. I'm looking on autozone website and a I see the duralast 2283, but it doesn't look like it has a bushing. I guess I'm asking is there a part number you guys know of that has both? Or a link to a set of them that will work? Thanks in advance.

I used these for my BB swap. Just do a search for tubular motor mounts. They don't seem to be tubular anymore. I used these because they were the only ones I could get to clear the headers. You do have to trim the upper frame a bit. I believe you can see it in this picture. These have been working in my truck for over 10 years.

Thanks for the info bud. What headers did you use? I’m going to be looking for those as well.

Those are Hedman Elites. I made the mistake of using long tube headers. You should use 3/4 headers. Long tubes hang down to low.

Do you recall the part number or application you searched for?

That is what I figured. I found the mounts from POL. You were right, they aren’t tubular anymore, but they do allow the use of Chevelle, nova, Camaro big block motor mounts.
