hey fellas , im lookin for ebay material and came across a 66 ford 4wd , nice lookin truck , chevy hugger orange , about 8 inches of lift , c6 , 205 , whatever i think shes a halfton , didnt look that close , it has a 351 cleveland , runs and drives good , any ideas what this would be worth ? ill try to get pics this weekend, no rust or dents , paint looks almost new , really a sharp truck

1969 GMC 02-05-2004 02:06 AM

none of that drivetrain is original (maybe the C6...dunno), but it does sound like a potent combo. maybe 3-4k?

MAC67 02-05-2004 02:35 AM

yeah i was told it was built for the dunes out in yosemite, i dunno , i can pick it up for 1500.00 , just needin to know if there is profit to be had, sounds like there is

Blue Beard 02-05-2004 08:56 AM

Mudder 02-05-2004 02:41 PM

You could probably make a killin over on the Ford Forums.....

MAC67 02-05-2004 03:06 PM

dtlilly 02-05-2004 03:21 PM

Never been over to a #ord site before, do they speak English over there? Hehe.

Mac, If the body is as clean as you say, and it is an original 4X4 frame, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't make something off it. I couldn't tell you how much because I don't follow that market.

smitty62 02-05-2004 05:00 PM

Well-------------you just removed all doubt!

MAC67 02-05-2004 07:13 PM

well its not afactory 4x4 , i do am almost positive of that, but still all in all it is a very clean nice truck , and it looks factory, sooo i dunno , theres got to be at least 500 bucks to be made there, also got a line on a 67 swb 2wd chevy im gonna be picking up hopefully , will be parting it out ,, i was told its in pretty crappy shape ,, ill let yall know and post it

MAC67 02-05-2004 07:15 PM

"i do am almost positive of that" WTF!!! ,, dont ask me what went through my head just then ,, ha ha ha

lukecp 02-05-2004 07:26 PM

$1500 sounds like a good deal on that truck. Fords of that era look sweet IMO. I wouldn't mind restoring one one day.

Mixup 02-05-2004 07:49 PM

Ford knows there is a problem. They even put a circle around it.

Bowtie67 02-05-2004 08:11 PM

See iff they will knock off $500 because it's a #ord, $750 if it were a dog, opps Dodge:bowtie:

69 air cab 02-05-2004 08:27 PM

FORD #@%$#@#,,,,,,,man......what's wrong with you......you've been shut indoors to long............BOOOOOOOO. Why would you take that guys problem off his hands???

MAC67 02-05-2004 08:33 PM

ha ha ha , all im in it for is the profit at the end , i tel ya what i thgrew a 78 f350 4wd supercab on ebay for a fella a year or so ago ,, old man said he would like to get 3500 out of it , it did have a 60 up front and only 36000 miles , he said i could have anything over 4000,, the truck sold on ebay for 8500.00 ,, ha ha , they me be piles of crap but listen , theres an idiot born every day ,, ha ha ha

69 air cab 02-05-2004 09:34 PM

Now I will agree with you on the idiot part. Like they say......your junk my treasure. I bought an old Ford Bronco a few years ago and put new belts on it and tuned it. Put it out front sale and cought hell from bowtie buddies but..........guess......what..........here came an idiot .......made $500 bucks profit in just 2 weeks...........Martha Stewart can't do that well on stocks. I've even had people come look at stuff I've had for sale and say I'll take it.........only for me to say not til you drive it and let me tell you all I know on it...........I hate to see people not think through what they are doing.

cochran63 02-05-2004 09:42 PM

I love my fords. I like something i can drive without constant tinkering. On the other hand Chevies look awesome. Thats why i can wait to get a 383 windsor built fot my 63 c-10. It might just become the perfect truck.

69 air cab 02-05-2004 09:50 PM

Like Mixup said.........there's a circle around FORD.........while CHEVY is ......like a rock and will run and run and run and look and look and look........forever

The only Yosemite I know of isn't near any dunes......

MAC67 02-06-2004 01:29 AM

i couldnbt tell ya ,, hellifiknow , i am looking at one thing and one thing only , "PROFIT , PROFIT , PROFIT" , i am and will always be chevrolet through and through till the day i die, but there are also people out there that feel the exact same way about a ford, so i see a nice looking truck for a pretty sweet price , when there is going to be someone out there who sees theyre dream truck for a price that doesnt really matter ,,, those are the ones im on the look out for , and yes i have a knack for finding them

Much like I am with that 2 door 57 you have. I will somehow find a way to get that someday. I even have a pic of it on my screen saver to remind me why I wake up everyday, Hehe.

MAC67 02-06-2004 04:10 AM

ha ha ha ,, ill get ya a better one of it as soon as the weather breaks dtilly and i can get her out of storage ,, i tell ya what ,, if you ever make it up my way get ahold of me , we'll take her over to the Dog 'N' Suds for a coney dog ,, ha ha ha
