The site looks good.

67Fleetsidedream 02-18-2004 08:15 PM

Nice site. I was expecting and old man with long beard. You may want to add your email address to the page in case some one other than a board member can get in touch with you.

ebfabman 02-18-2004 08:22 PM

good idea, thanks.............

chevymaz 02-18-2004 08:23 PM

The site looks good! Now only if I could afford to get a set of the videos right now (poor college student :whine: ). Maybe I could ask for them for my birthday this May from my parents!:D :metal:

cruzman8 02-18-2004 08:27 PM

Looks great . Simple is better

stllookn 02-18-2004 08:29 PM

Wow...I am jealous! That is some fine work, Earl. Do you use a heat sink on the back side of really thin pieces when butt welding them? I did an antenna hole in a cowl recently and could not run my welder cold enough to prevent burn through. I finally had to just stitch it until I had enough there to work with. What a mess! After I was done I thought I should have used a heat sink behind it. I have a big copper bar I use whenever I think about it.

ebfabman 02-18-2004 08:34 PM

Mike, no I don't. I just try to use enough heat for good penetration and be fast enough so there is no burn through or warpage.

You're sapping all the enjoyment I get in life. ;)

Gee_Emm 02-18-2004 09:00 PM

Maybe try grouping the pictures into catagories and labeling them, otherwise looks good.

ljbear 02-18-2004 10:44 PM

I agree with GeeEmm, tidy up the way the pictures are set up and labeled. Another thing to really consider is adding some type of online ordering, and credit cards or PayPal. Lots of people would do the impulse buy, but if they have to fill something out they may pass it up. Just a thought.

Site looks good..........

Didn't see anything that might interest some on setup for welders, help and hints...

Your right... simple is good. You might arrange the pics into segments letting folks know which CD you are emphasizing.

Otherwise it looks fine.

thx, JDY

Make silly faces?? Someone beat us to it!! Jus' kidn'

Seriously, I think you have a great deal in the videos--hope you make bundles of $! As Martha would say--"It's a good thing.";)

Hutch 02-19-2004 01:44 AM

That is the best body/metal work I have seen anywhere period.
You might post a link to you inspirational story about the can of beans on your site.
I am sure that a lot of folks could relate to it.

Keep up the great work.
you are an inspiration to us all.

GreenMystChevy 02-19-2004 01:48 AM

Nicely done on the site.
Only thing I can think of is what ljbear said about a "buy now" function. I think you might get a few more sales when someone can just click on a button and type in a credit card number. I am no web developer but I think it's a bit more involved.
You sir are quite amazing at what you do.

ebfabman 02-19-2004 10:37 AM

Great ideas! I can see it will need more work.

Hutch, good idea. I had not thought of that.

Thanks............eb

biglou55 02-19-2004 11:53 AM

:D I would order with my credit this instant if you had a way to do it. great pics on your site. I have a 71 cab that i have to tackle your dvds couldn,t have been produced at a better time. keep up the great work.:bowtie: :flag:

RCOMBS 02-20-2004 02:40 PM

EB, The site looks great!! Until I saw that first picture, You could of put a hotty on there!!! hahahaha

Slammed67 02-20-2004 04:05 PM

ebfabman,

Your metal working skills are amazing. If I wasn't already done with the rust repair on my truck, I'd definitely by your DVD's. Wanna do a video series for rust repair on a '56 Chevy station wagon???? That's my next project.

Do these videos explain proper welding/grinding procedures or is it mainly showing the proper way to fit patch panels on these trucks? In other words, would the information contained on these videos be helpful for all auto/truck sheet metal projects?

One suggestion for your site would be to use thumbnail pics instead of just links (I.e. Pic 15). (make it more visual)

Keep up the good work!

Jason

I think you could probably set up a pay-pal link and people could pay a variety of methods that way including using their credit card. Rod
