carrier bearing pic

how does a carrier bearing on a 67 model truck with a 4spd mount in there it is a GMC truck if it makes a difference

Shouldnt it look like any other carrier bearing with any transmission? The carrier bearing mounts to the cross support that mounts the trailing arms. It does not mount near the transmission crossmember that I am aware of.

Neonlarry,

That is one sweet bearing. Is that a machined aluminum housing?
Is that your creation? If not where'd you get it?

The hanger for the bearing, is it original or just cleaned and painted?

Sorry for all the dang questions.

James

C 10's mount bolts run inline with the driveshaft like in the picture, C 20's mount bolts run side to side.

Where did you get that aluminum/poly carrier bearing? I can only find the steel/poly bearing for 99 bucks at cpp. Let us know. Thanks !!!
