i just changed my 69 c10 from 3 on the tree to a 350 automatic.i bought a used auto colum,and the shift linkage from ebay auctions.beware that you look closely at the picture and that every thing is there.i bought one and 1 piece was missing,so i had to buy another linkage set.works great now.
