Thanks for the replies - some good advice. I checked the timing, it's dead on. The problem is a new one, so I'm inclined to think that it might not be the valves. I'll check the plugs, though, appreciate the tip on the hotter plugs.

Could it be fuel? I thought that maybe my fuel pump was going south. Choke could be it, but it's a fairly new Edelbrock with electric choke.
