I think havin the bag uncontained at the bottom would be a very bad idea, i dont think the bag would pop due to pressure however I think that when the suspensinon unloads the trailing arm would rebound and eventually catch the side of the air spring thereby pinching the bag and tearing it.

if this were to happen you would most likely have a sudden failure. making a bad situation worse..

you want to do this for what reason???
