Has anyone ever popped an airgbag?
I had a thread going about air bags. I want to hang a bag on the frame and grind the bolts off the bottom so I can travel beyond the limit of the airgbag. This would leave my bag "uncontained" with pressure in it. Some think the bag would pop, some say no, No one has ever done it, so who knows for sure.
I am interested to know it anyone has ever popped an airbag and what caused it. Thanks

bad idea
I think havin the bag uncontained at the bottom would be a very bad idea, i dont think the bag would pop due to pressure however I think that when the suspensinon unloads the trailing arm would rebound and eventually catch the side of the air spring thereby pinching the bag and tearing it.
if this were to happen you would most likely have a sudden failure. making a bad situation worse.. you want to do this for what reason???
