well...someone should have had a camera.
I took the truck up to the car wash and cleaned it up some. While I was drying it off, some kid in an import with the fart pipe finished his ride and left. As he got up to the street (wierd entrance = 100yd drive to bays) I heard the r's come up and he popped the clutch...breaking the front tires loose for at least a full split-second (there's still a small amount of water on your tires), the wind up and shift to 2nd gear accompanied by a full fledged 1 tire chirp, passed the car wash...and he finally got out just before hitting 3rd. The guy in the bay next to me (drying off his H2) looked at me curiously as I chuckled, then mumbled to myself (awe shucks, he coulda had a V8) and laughed. I think he got it when I left though.....
I finished up, pulled the truck out, and idled all the way back up to the entrance. I checked left, then right, then left again and was clear to go...so I pulled out easily (RH turn) and once the truck was straight...I nailed the crap out of it.
The tail end went left a little so I cranked in some countersteer. Just as it straightened and started to hook (it certainly wasn't sitting still tho) it hit 2nd and went right just a tad, then the tires finally caught. I got out of it shortly after it hooked, looked down and I was doing 60 (in a 40). I'll bet the guy with the H2 could see the big ole grin on my face as I went by, working the wheel....all the way back to the car wash.
