Hey Mario: Ive never saw or heard problems in the area you described, but I would remove all the paint and factory caulking around the seem area that has seperated down to the metal weld it grind it and do the primer & paint thing again, I would be a little suspicious as to why it came apart in the first place and inspect it on the outside of the cab and make sure that no water or moisture can get in the area and cause problems later.
