Well, you're running an aftermarket radio no doubt, because a factory deck would not have any sort of memory, not until 1990 in the square bodies at least.

There is a radio forum here, it's down below, lots of good info on it. Sounds like you just need to find the constant hot wire, and wire it up to the battery or a constant hot in your fuse block.
